At St. Mark's, we believe that all children have the capacity to learn – it is our job to ensure every child in our school has the best possible education opportunities, regardless of race, religion, gender or special needs. We educate the whole child and encourage success in each individual.
On a recent visit, Lord Rooker (the government’s Minister for Regeneration and Regional Development) was very impressed by the school and especially by the children. He wrote a card for us after his visit which said: ‘I saw and heard things in St. Mark’s that I have not seen nor heard in the dozens of primary schools I have been in. I have not stopped talking about my visit to the literacy session and the work on poems of Ted Hughes. Quite fantastic!’
We are very proud of our school and strive constantly to provide innovative and inclusive education for all our learners. All staff at St. Mark's work hard to develop and celebrate achievement equally in all areas of life whether altruistic, athletic, artistic or academic.
